No News Is Great News, Not FOX NEWS!

News shows and "celebrity reality news"(TMZ) are souring in popularity; and new shows replace the old one's weekly it seems. If you love these shows, you will hate this Hub I fear. But I espouse the truth as I see it...

I seriously can't even deal with the television news media in 2012. Bad news, depressing and shocking news sell. Good news 24/7 would be unrealistic and depressing if it wasn't effecting you.

So I have decided to simply deprogram my cable, so no news stations show up on the guide. I don't think I would be tempted though. The bad news and negative, bitter opinions that follow are soul stealing.

I have had it with the following news people: Nancy Grace, Jane Velez-Mitchell, Shepard Smith (nice eyeliner though) John King, Rachael Maddow, Anderson Cooper, Bill O' Reilly, The whole Fox and Friends weekday crew(Gretch, P.Doocy, and the doltish curly haired guy?) Reginald Rountree (Tampa anchor) and oh so many more too numerous to list.

I have to mention this, because I cannot get it out of my head. Fox has a woman anchor(blonde naturally) named Ainsley Earhardt. I have this brain glitch that when I see her on the telly, my cut-up mind calls her "Anal Airhead ." Yes, that is stupid, and has nothing to do with this woman, but it pops into my head when she pops on the screen. (I'm not crazy as far as you know)

It would have been easier to tell you who I can tolerate. I can count them on one hand. Dennis Miller, Mike Huckabee, Heather Van Nest(local Tampa) Jake Tapper(I know him personally) and my favorite news sweetheart, Ms. Jenna Lee.

I like Jenna mainly because she is the one non-bleach blonde from that whole stable they have at Fox. A red head in a sea of dummies. I am guessing she isn't a true red head. At least she is bucking a very annoying trend over there.

Ainsley too is a "Fox"

Television News( Fox Snooze mostly) is Depressing and Cruel

Aside from the fact I can be opinionated; I can't believe half way through college, I had my future career narrowed down to two choices: Anchorman or Game Show Host. I was majoring in Radio & Television and my field of concentration was Broadcast Journalism. Thank God I did some amateur mic stand-up shows, because this gave me the impetus to audition for some college plays. I got into a few, and I focused on Theater, Music, and Creative Writing the last part of college. I wanted nothing to do with broadcast journalism!

When I graduated, I half-assedly (no it's not a"real" word, I made it up) completed an internship at the 4th rated TV news station in Cleveland.I did it to get my final 2 credits needed to graduate. Did I mention I graduated from the Harvard of the North coast, Kent State University? Well I did, but don't spread it around please.

The first thing that struck me out of left field, was the level of seriousness I witnessed at the station. These people acted like this was a real job. They even tricked themselves into thinking that one station could be "#1" and be noticeably better than the "#3" station. Half the people in Cleveland knew the stations call letters, but couldn't tell you what anchorman or woman went with what station. So they had to fool themselves like this; or else the ridiculousness and randomness of the news business, would emotionally cripple these soulless robots.

If I could be as smooth as Shep Smith, the gay and macho anchor of "Studio B" and "The Fox Report," then I would probably be on television right now. Shep is an arrogant, confident, closeted gay anchor; but he overcompensates for his hidden homosexuality by being tough and overly confident. If you recognize that as a put-on, he is actually quite intricate; possible crazy.

I of course, knew television news was simply a waiting room you sat in, until prime time rolled around. Whatever station your favorite show was on, you may catch the last 7 minutes of that channel's newscast. Simple as that for the majority of the population I bet.

You would think news people would be fun. After all, they get a decent amount of money for simply reporting something that was going to happen in spite of them. They had to look presentable, have a little personality, and know how to read words off a teleprompter. They had it made. It wasn't the most creative job, but it was easy. Some of these dopes stay in the same chair in the same city, being local celebrities, and getting paid way more than they should.

They were far from fun. They were boring, bitter, and jealous. None of them were happy being in Cleveland.(Can't blame 'em really) Even if they were popular, well payed, and had 10 years of jobs security at the station-they all wanted to make it to a bigger market.

Of course New York City and L.A. were the mecca's of television news. Nobody made that kind of super leap however. First you had to get called up to Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas or Seattle. These people spent all their free time sending out tapes to news directors in other cities.

This constant drive made them oh so serious! They had to be "on" every second. I tried to joke with a few of them only to be ignored. One guy went as far as telling the news director he didn't want me to talk to him anymore.

Another time I was giving an anchor woman a ride to a court proceeding 20 minutes away. I turned the radio on softly and she instantly clicked it off with a, "Really?"

Yeah, she had to focus on her notes. Notes for a trial she didn't really need to know about; because she'd be reading words written by the producer, as they smoothly scrolled off her TelePrompter.

When I watch Fox News I am amazed at how quickly I become bored. These "fair and balanced" taking heads are not entertaining. Thankfully they never crack a joke. When they do it's just awful. These folks are so focused on being conservative to a fault, I never see any of them truly having any fun. When they do smile, it's because they feel they've gotten a bitter dig in on some liberal comedian like John Stewart.

Truth be told, all news people hate their lives. They know they are going to be replaced by a younger model any day now, they realize they have no creative license, and most of them can't stand working day after day next to a phony that reminds them of themselves.

Maybe I've misjudged this lot as being too serious. In essence, they are just miserable I think. Let us pray for them...

Okay, but you gotta admit, that ALL the new stations are really bad at giving the news without personal, paid for opinion, attitude, and bias. The worst offenders are ABC, CBs NBC,and all cable news, morning shows, evening shows, all of it. The only news I tune into now is my local FOX. They are fun, serious when they need to be and most important; just give the news, no slants and both sides. That's the way it was meant to be. Interesting view you have.

Hey speaking of news, is it true that Sheppard Smith is dying? Do a Hub on that closeted rebel from Mississippi. He is totally gay. Why don't Anderson Cooper and him come out of that crowded closet!

On the contrary,I think the world laugh too much. It it is a bad consequence to laugh at the wrong things. It will bring negative returns to your life which can up-set a peaceful day.
